Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what RadialOS collects, why we collect it, and how we use it to provide accounts, licenses, activation, payments, support, and product updates.
Who operates RadialOS
RadialOS is operated from New Zealand. Business details are listed in the site footer. Privacy, legal, and account requests should be sent to support@radialos.org.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your account email address, password authentication data handled by Supabase, support messages, refund requests, bug reports, and any details you choose to send us.
When you buy or activate RadialOS, we collect license and activation information, including license status, plan type, maximum device count, device name, platform, hashed device fingerprint, activation and deactivation timestamps, and last-seen timestamps. RadialOS requires the desktop app to send a stable hashed fingerprint rather than raw device identifiers.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We store payment fulfillment identifiers such as Stripe customer IDs and checkout session IDs, and we may display receipt links from Stripe in your account page. We do not store full card numbers.
Required and optional information
Some information is required to provide RadialOS. If you do not provide an account email, authentication details, payment confirmation, license information, or device activation information, we may not be able to create your account, process a purchase, issue a license, activate a device, provide offline activation, handle refunds, or provide support. Support messages, screenshots, bug details, and community posts are optional, but they may be needed to diagnose an issue.
How we use information
We use your information to create and secure your account, verify email addresses, process purchases, issue and validate licenses, manage device activations, prevent license misuse, provide support, send password reset or account emails, process refund requests, and improve RadialOS.
We may also use limited technical information to diagnose bugs, investigate failed activations, respond to security issues, and keep the website and desktop activation service working correctly.
Legal basis for processing
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, operate and secure RadialOS, comply with legal and accounting obligations, prevent fraud and license abuse, respond to support and refund requests, and send communications you request or that relate to your account. Where consent is required for optional marketing, we will rely on consent and provide a way to unsubscribe.
Cookies and authentication
RadialOS uses cookies and similar browser storage for account sessions, authentication, password reset flows, and theme preferences. These are used to keep you signed in, protect account access, and remember basic interface choices.
Emails and messages
We may send transactional or relationship emails about your account, password resets, email verification, purchases, receipts, refunds, licenses, activation, support, or security. We do not send marketing email campaigns. Product announcements will generally be posted on the RadialOS website or Discord community instead of by marketing email.
Who receives information
We use service providers to run RadialOS. Supabase provides authentication, database, account, license, and activation infrastructure. Stripe processes payments, checkout, customer records, and receipts. Hosting, email, and support providers may process information needed to operate the service.
If you join the RadialOS Discord, information you post or share there is handled by Discord under Discord's own terms and privacy policy. Do not post private billing, account, or sensitive device details in public community channels.
Retention and deletion
We keep account, license, payment fulfillment, and activation records for as long as needed to provide RadialOS, maintain purchase records, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, manage chargebacks, and support refunds. We may retain limited records after account closure where needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute evidence, or legal compliance. You can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support@radialos.org.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including managed authentication, row-level access controls, hashed device fingerprints, and payment processing through Stripe. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Privacy breaches
If we become aware of a privacy or security incident affecting personal information, we will investigate, take reasonable steps to reduce harm, and notify affected users, regulators, or service providers where required by applicable law.
International users
RadialOS may be accessed from different countries, and our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. By using RadialOS, you understand that your information may be processed where we or our providers operate, subject to applicable law and the safeguards used by those providers.
Younger users
RadialOS is a general Ableton workflow product and does not set a specific minimum age. If a younger user cannot lawfully manage an account, purchase, or license in their own name, a parent or guardian should help them. If you believe a younger user has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and remove it where required.
Your choices
You can contact us to ask for a copy of your personal information, request correction, request deletion where available, ask questions about how your information is used, or make a privacy complaint. Contact support@radialos.org.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as RadialOS changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.
